Super Eagles Star Wilfred Ndidi Apologizes to Fans After Costly Miss Against Zimbabwe!

Wilfred Ndidi Apologizes To Nigerians For Role In Super Eagles’ Draw

The Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe ended in a frustrating 1-1 draw, and Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has stepped up to apologize to Nigerian fans for his missed sitter!

The match, played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday, March 25, saw Nigeria take the lead after Victor Osimhen fired home in the 74th minute. But just when it seemed like the Eagles were cruising, Ndidi was handed a golden chance to kill the game—only to fluff his lines from close range!

That miss proved costly, as Zimbabwe struck late in the 90th minute through substitute Tawanda Chirewa, snatching a draw and leaving Nigerian fans fuming on social media.

Feeling the heat, Ndidi took to his Instagram story to beg for forgiveness, writing in pidgin:
“Please make una no vex for goal wey I miss. Nobody perfect for his job.”

Now, all eyes turn to September, when the Super Eagles face Rwanda in another must-win qualifier. But the real big one? A clash with Group C leaders South Africa! 🇿🇦

Currently sitting 6 points behind Bafana Bafana, Nigeria’s World Cup dreams hang in the balance. Will the Eagles rise or fall? September go show!
