LG as well claims that the degree of background noise will diminish by 50% and that the phone’s camera will be able to come with a ‘soundtrack’ that is supposed to “capture the roaring sound of waves crashing on a beach or conversations among two individuals at a noisy party”.
The company has stated it has cooperated with top-notch audio specialists ESS Technology on the new Quad DAC – the company which also provided the 32-bit Hi-Fi DAC in the V10, the parent model for the V20.
The president and chief executive officer of ESS Technology, Robert Blair, stated: “As a technology more typically available in high-end audio equipment, Quad DAC on the V20 will make users feel as if they are carrying around a professional home-audio system on their smartphone.”
This last news came; following LG certified the rumors that the V20 might feature the newest version of the Android OS, Android 7.0 Nougat. Even Samsung’s last device, the Galaxy Note 7 is missing this version.
It is as well anticipated for the newest model to have 4GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 820 chip, 5.7-inch screen with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution, however, this is not established, yet.
For now, it is certain for the debut of the phone will take place on the 6th of September. As the date approaches near, we advise following the new about this new exciting model.
In the smartphone market, a company’s prime phone model is intended to be the superior product in sales, marketing and featuring. And yet, LG somewhat defies this rule: the G5 model, with its partly basic design, was the flagship of an unusual type, and V10 model, released last year, with its dual screen, was also a sort of a venture.
Of recent, the company has started to reveal descriptions concerning the upcoming V20, with an initiation scheduled to be on the 6th of September.
Atop of the fact, it will be the first phone ever to appear with the new version of Android, 7.0 or Nougat, the LG’s new will have as well a 32-bit Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter), produced by ESS Technology. To make things simple: this indicates less noise (LG assures decrease in background noise level up to 50 percent) and of course, with generally improved sound.
But yet, LG is not the leading telephone company to take such effort to the audio part to have such strong capabilities: HTC has a quite famous fixation with great sound, and ZTE’s smartphones may also come to mind.
For now, the company has not exposed any other detail concerning the new model; LG did not share any other details about the LG V20; it will be intriguing to observe will the phone resemble to G5’s elegant simplicity, or if it will be having the same dual screen technology, familiar with its predecessor. A possible arsenal, so to speak, of official renders (below), with the possible implication that the V20 model will be more similar to the G5, rather than the V10 model.
Higher quality audio is simply the natural evolution of the smartphone, as the industry moves toward a more holistic multimedia consumption experience. — Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics and Mobile Communications Company.
The company also mentioned that they are aware that users constantly wish for more, than a quick processing of a phone and a big display, upon purchasing a new top-notch phone, and the goal is to produce this, with the V20. More information will be released on the 6th of September when LG unveils the real deal in San Francisco. But for now, we can only enjoy the news in the press.
